Exeed completes safety training course

Exeed Litecrete, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based Exeed Industries, said it has successfully completed a safety training module for its employees in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior.

Exceed Industries is the industrial arm of National Holding, a privately held Abu Dhabi-based diversified holding company.

Located in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD-2) and spanning an area of over 120,000 sq m, the Exeed factory manufacturers light weight and thermo-insulating Autoclaved Aerated Concrete blocks as well as reinforced panels, slabs and lintels for the UAE and GCC construction market.

Adolf Neuner, a reputed trainer from Germany, led the initiative in the presence of representatives from ZonesCorp, the Ministry of Interior - Technical Rescue and Quick Intervention Branch, and Falck Safety Service.

A pictorial explanation was offered on the functions and reactions of aluminum that is used in the manufacturing process of AAC blocks to generate the micro-pore structure inside the products, said a sttaement from Exeed Litecrete.

In addition to imparting techniques for handling aluminium, the trainer also introduced employees to the hazards of the metal in causing fires and demonstrated the right and wrong measures taken while extinguishing a fire.

On its part, the Ministry of Interior - Technical Rescue and Quick Intervention Branch offered  a simulation exercise that will be an integral part of Exeed’s emergency operations.

In addition to Exeed Litecrete, Exeed Industries comprises five business units and 16 companies in the Mena region.
