UD to offer courses at Abu Dhabi college

The University of Dubai (UD), a prestigious university in the UAE established by Dubai Chamber, will offer selected programmes at Al Khawarizmi International College (KIC) Abu Dhabi.

UD recently renewed its articulation agreement with KIC, enabling it to offers its programmes in disciplines such as MBA and IT to the KIC students. Also, through the agreement KIC faculty would be able to attend the many research forums and conferences of UD as a service to peer institution.

“The cooperation aims to highlight and promote market-specific programs jointly for all those who are seeking to achieve recognised degrees which have international acceptance,” said Dr M Omar Hefni, president of UD.

“This agreement is another milestone in our strategy to provide quality education in global scenario and is part of our efforts to diversify UD’s education portfolio to attract a growing student base in the country.”

“Through this alliance both the institutions will achieve academic and research excellence, share mutual vision and learn from each other,” he added.

Naeem Radi, Chief Executive Officer of KIC (Abu Dhabi campus), said: “It is an honour to have joint programs with an esteemed institution such as UD which over the years has developed an excellent reputation of providing quality education in the country.”

“The agreement will go a long way for both the institutions by inviting faculty to undertake short visits or take up fixed-term visiting assignments and student exchange programmes.”

Under the terms of this contract, UD will also promote its MBA programme (15 months duration) to KIC faculty and other staff members who wish to pursue a higher degree. In return, the KIC will provide its campus to UD faculty for holding MBA classes at its campus in Abu Dhabi. – TradeArabia News Service
