Dubal provides job training to 27 Emiratis
Dubai, November 15, 2009
Dubai Aluminium Company, (Dubal) which operates the world’s largest modern primary aluminium smelter with a captive power station, has enrolled 27 young UAE nationals in its pre-employment training program, as part of its Emiratisation initiatives.
Dubal’s PEC programmes are designed to give UAE National trainees both theoretical knowledge and practical on-the-job work experience in technical departments. They form part of Dubal’s comprehensive nationalisation policy, which is aligned to that of the Dubai government, and comprise formal classroom teaching interventions alternating with hands-on technical training within the smelter, all under the supervision of trained and motivated teams.
The induction of the new trainees took place during a formal ceremony during which Mohammed Ali Al Owais, manager Organisational Development, motivated the trainees to augment their knowledge by taking as much as possible from these courses.
Upon completion of the PEC programme, the trainees will receive internal and/or external certificates from internationally recognised institutes.-TradeArabia News Service
