Abu Dhabi Basic Industries Corporation (Adbic) has appointed Eng Jamal Salem Al Dhaheri as the company’s new chief executive officer, effective October 1.

Al Dhaheri, 39, brings with him extensive management experience, most recently holding the post of senior vice president of metals at Adbic.

Announcing the appointment, Hussain Al Nowais, chairman of Adbic and vice-chairman of General Holding Corporation (GHC), said: “In his new role, Jamal Al Dhaheri will help drive some of the most valuable industrial investments in the region, including Abu Dhabi Polymers Park, Adbic’s metal industrial projects and Midal’s new aluminium plant. We wish Jamal Al Dhaheri great success in his new role and are confident that he will have a positive impact on Adbic’s contribution to the global industrial arena.”

Al Dhaheri holds an Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration from Zayed University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from University of the Pacific in the US. – TradeArabia News Service
