Bahrain kindergartens to reopen on Oct 4

Manama, September 5, 2009

Classes in nurseries, kindergartens and rehabilitation centres for children with special needs have been postponed until October 4, Bahrain's Education Ministry has announced.

The move is part of precautionary measures against swine flu and is in co-ordination with the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry has ordered staff at Salmaniya Medical Complex's Accident and Emergency Department to wear masks to protect themselves from H1N1, department president Dr Jassim Al Mahza'a said. A special isolation room for children has also been set up in the unit to treat suspected cases.-TradeArabia News Service
