Harvard Medical School Dubai plans new facility

Harvard Medical School Dubai has signed an agreement with the UAE-based Al Naboodah Contracting for the construction of a 350,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility.
Harvard Medical School Dubai Center Institute for Postgraduate Education and Research (HMSDC) is a member of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center, a part of Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC), a member of Tatweer, while Al Naboodah Contracting Company is a member of Al Naboodah Construction Group.
The new facility will serve as HMSDC’s permanent home and feature a 340-seat auditorium, innovative teaching space, a simulation center utilising leading edge technology and a collection of educational resources.
“We are delighted to renew our agreement with Al Naboodah Construction Group to complete this flagship project,” said Dr Ayesha Abdullah, senior vice-president of DHCC.
“The new building will facilitate HMSDC to evolve as a centre of excellence for postgraduate medical education and life sciences research,” she added.
“It will also put its efforts on fast track for shaping Dubai as a qualitative link between the Gulf region and the global medical community.”
