Al Ahli Group launches CSR division
Dubai, September 11, 2008
Al Ahli Group (AAG), a leading business conglomerate, has opened a dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) division to oversee a series of youth programme initiatives aimed at encouraging and empowering young Emiratis.
The Group, in partnership with JA Argentina, has created the Global Business Opportunities Initiative, to provide hands-on, experiential programmes to teach the key concepts of work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy to young people from the two communities of UAE and Argentina.
The project is in line with the UAE government's vision on 'commitment to CSR values', said Khammas, a business leader.
“Through our dedicated CSR division it is our aim to develop Emirati youth, building their skills and widening their horizons and exposure,” he added.
Junior Achievement Argentina is part of the global Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide programme, a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers — all working together to inspire young people to dream big and reach their potential, said an official.
A Best Business Plan Award will be presented next month. In addition to accolades, the final result of all this hard work will be the development of the five Business Plans, setting the young entrepreneurs on the path to business success, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
