CPP to train 500 Bahrainis

Manama, April 21, 2008

The Labour Fund-Career Progression Programme (CPP) managed by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting has signed a number of agreements with several Bahraini companies in an effort to train more than 500 Bahrainis in the first batch.

The agreements were signed duly by BDO Jawad Habib Consulting and major Bahraini companies including Yousif Bin Yousif Fakhro, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait, Jawad Business Group and Mohammed Fakhroo & Bothers

Nevertheless, the small and middle size enterprises (SMEs) had a fair share in the first batch that joined the CPP and the list includes Etisalcom, Bridge Industrial Services, Oriental Press, Falcon Aluminium and National Occupational Safety and Health Centre.

Meanwhile, BDO Jawad Habib Consulting has been actively prequalifying Bahraini Training Service Providers who would be able to provide suitable training courses for employees from the participating companies.

Some of the pre-qualified Training Service Providers include: BIBF, Berlitz, Gulf Academy, GII, EMIC, Golden Trust, NIT and others. Dr. Ehsan Ghurbal, the CPP project manager, requests other Training Service Providers in Bahrain to apply for the prequalification to provide training under the CPP.

“The programme was launched late January and aims to offer relevant and suitable training for the nominated employees and hence improving the productivity of the organisations they work for. We urge companies to benefit from the Career Progression Programme,” said Dr Ghurbal.

The Career Progression Centre (CPC) is located on the third floor at Al Ezz Tower (off-the Exhibition Avenue) and is exclusively dedicated to receive requests, enquiries and support the execution of this programme.

Employers in the private sector can participate in the programme by nominating their eligible Bahraini employees. – TradeArabia News Service
