A Virtual Instrument Centre opened at Texas A&M University at Qatar (Tamuq) yesterday (November 21).

The centre has been established following a partnership between Tamuq and National Instruments (NI), a report in Gulf Times said.

The centre will provide students and faculty in the mechanical and electrical engineering programmes with the technology to design, test and deploy projects.

“The Virtual Instrumentation Center of Excellence provides an effective learning environment for students by integrating NI technology,” Tamuq’s electrical engineering faculty member Khalid Qaraqe was quoted as saying.
