CUD in deal with Lyon 2 University

Canadian University of Dubai (CUD) has signed a collaboration agreement with Université Lumière Lyon 2 of France.

The move is aimed at initiating exchange programmes and promoting academic and research interactions for industry-centric knowledge and skills enhancement.

The agreement provides for the exchange of information and research findings in order to improve the quality of higher education and research in critical areas of specific relevance to the Middle East, a university statement said.

The agreement was signed by Emirates Investment and Development Company (Emivest) Chairman and University Chairman of the CUD Board of Trustees Butti Saeed Al Ghandi and Université Lumière Lyon 2 President Professor Claude Journès.

The signing ceremony was attended by International Affairs Vice-President Thierry Valentin, Dean of the Faculté de Droit et Science Politique Olivier Négrin, Dean of the School of Economics, Finance and Management André Tiran, Professor Joseph Dichy, Professor Djamel Zighed, and several other distinguished faculty and administrative staff at Lyon 2 University, and CUD Principal Dr Karim Chelli.

With a strong focus on finance and entrepreneurship, the specialized programmes of Université Lumière Lyon 2 in the field of business development are highly acclaimed and in demand in Europe. 

CUD, as part of its vibrant exchange programme, has ties with a number of European and North American universities which broaden and enhance an approach to education and training which is both innovative and flexible.
