Cairo, November 30, 2011

Egypt's producer price index rose 1.8 percent in the 12 months to October, far less than the 12 percent rise in the year to September, a government website showed on Wednesday.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization And Statistics Website gave a value of 191.9 for October as against 194.3 for September.

The government introduced the new index in October 2007, replacing the old wholesale price index. – Reuters
