Dubai, October 10, 2011
Dubai SME, a unit of Department of Economic Development, Dubai (DED) mandated to develop the small and medium enterprises sector, has launched its new website.
It will serve as a networking platform between entrepreneurs and service providers in different sectors, said the DED officials at the launch during the Gitex Technology Week expo in Dubai.
'We were keen on launching this inspiring initiative during Gitex since the website is a global platform combining state-of-the-art features within a single portal,' said Farid Karmostaji, director of Entrepreneur Development Department of Dubai SME.
'It also reflects Dubai SME’s vision to adopt advanced technologies to enable SMEs to achieve further growth and development,' he added.
Karmostaji pointed out that the new website was a roadmap for entrepreneurs to develop their businesses and access sources of knowledge and information.
'Service providers can also access the site to remain updated on the developments relating to their business and chart out growth plans accordingly. It will also guide investors who seek to set up own businesses through a series of steps and advices,' he added.
A key feature of the website is the guidelines and references provided to help entrepreneurs through the entire life cycle of their enterprises to achieve growth, promote social responsibility and manage profits and revenues.
The web site also includes a special section for training programmes that help entrepreneurs enhance the performance of their projects through knowledge and learning.-TradeArabia News Service
