Reichle & De-Massari (R&M), the Swiss structured cabling specialist, said its Middle East and Africa unit has won an award from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its exceptional export performance.

The "Exporter of the Month for November 2010" trophy was awarded by Dubai Chamber director general Hamad Buamin at an exclusive ceremony held recently.

This recognition was based on the Dubai Chamber's database on the highest number of penetrated markets, with R&M's MEA headquarters recording an exceptional re-export performance over November 2010, said R&M statement.

The Dubai Chamber supports the local business community through a number of initiatives including Exporter of the Month, which encourages and promotes the re-export performance of Dubai-based businesses.

Commenting on the win, MEA managing director, Jean Pierre Labry said, "We're very honoured to receive such a prestigious award as it absolutely supports our strong business performance and highlights the success of our customized product portfolio."

"R&M's Swiss quality, customized copper and fiber solutions are core to our company's achievements," he noted.

The Swiss cabling specialist has been active in the Middle East and Africa for over twelve years and is considered an innovation leader in the region.

It is a leading provider of Fiber solutions (FTTx) and was one of the first suppliers to deploy an end to end FTTx solution in the UAE.
