The United Arab Emirate's economy, the Arab world's second-largest, is expected to grow 1.3 per cent in 2009, the oil exporter's economy minister said in remarks aired on Wednesday.

"This would be a good figure," Sultan bin Saeed al-Mansouri told Al Arabiya television. In Spetember, the central bank governor said that the economy could contract or register a low growth rate.-Reuters
