Ajman promoted at Shanghai seminar
Ajman, May 28, 2007
Tanmiyat Investment Group hosted a seminar on Investment Opportunities in the Emirate of Ajman in Shanghai, China under the patronage of chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department Shaikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi.
The event was attended by the chairman of Shanghai's Chamber of Commerce, as well as a number of high-ranking businessmen and investors from around the world, said an official spokesman.
During the seminar, Shaikh Rashid highlighted the investment environment created in the emirate by new rules and legislation, tailored to attract investors to the region.
"Recent changes in Ajman's property laws have opened up the market to foreign investors, offering unique opportunities for high-return investments in a stable and desirable environment. We are pleased to invite people from all over the world to share in our rich cultural heritage as well as the largely untapped development potential the region has to offer," said Shaikh Rashid.
Ajman, which spans an area of only 260 square kilometers, has witnessed an economic boom in recent years, which has seen its population swell from 36,000 in 1980, to approximately 236,000 in 2007.
Flexible investment regulations and an open business environment draw many people from within as well as from outside the UAE, seeking lucrative business opportunities in the sea-side emirate.
One of the main developments currently underway in the area is Tanmiyat Group's Ajman Marina project, which was unveiled in February and is now being introduced to the Chinese market as a key investment opportunity in the region.
The Ajman Marina development is to be built along a 12-acre stretch of land near the Ajman Kempinski Hotel, and the design contract for the project has been awarded to world renowned design group, HOK.
Work has already commenced to map out the master plan for the marina, which will be comprised of residential, commercial and hospitality facilities.-TradeArabia News Service
