Imkan's residential project on track for 2019 handover
ABU DHABI, November 20, 2018
Imkan, an Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer, said work is progressing at a steady pace on its integrated residential project, Thanaya, with 75 per cent of the shoring completed.
Located in Abu Dhabi’s vibrant Al Muntazah area, the development blends contemporary and traditional elements to offer a modern and serene lifestyle, said the company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Group (ADCG).
Earlier this year, Imkan had appointed Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast as the main contractor, while local architectural design company UNii Engineering Consultancy was named the lead consultant, and global design and consultancy firm Arcadis the cost consultant for the project.
With the construction work in full swing, the for-lease-only building is scheduled for handover in the fourth quarter of 2019.
The residential development will comprise two basement car-park levels, multi-use retail and food and beverage (F&B) space and a pharmacy on the ground level, a community clinic on the mezzanine level, and 84 spacious apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom units across six levels.
Thanaya features bespoke rooftop amenities, including a jogging track and other outdoor recreational zones.
Inspired by the traditional mashrabiya - Al Thanaya’s ever-changing façade, apart from its aesthetic appeal, will ensure privacy, personalisation and customisation for its residents with the advanced shading system.
CEO Walid El Hindi said: "Thanaya has been carefully designed to respect local customs while providing an enhanced living experience. The varied elements integrated within the project are a direct result of Imkan’s in-depth research on the micro-environment, combined with meticulous planning to create a holistic community."
"Furthermore, its purpose-driven architecture responds to the site requirements and market forecasts," he stated.
According to him, Imkan has a consistent project progress track record across its portfolio, and a strong research focus remains at the heart of everything the company does, regardless of the size of a project.
"Our destinations stand out for their unique emphasis on people and community-building that enables us to shape the residential and commercial real estate landscape of Abu Dhabi in new and exciting ways," he added.
Imkan said it aims to expand its domestic and international footprint through unique projects that support and enhance local culture while seamlessly becoming a part of the communities in which they operate.
The Abu Dhabi-based developer boasts a portfolio of 26 projects spanning three continents. The company aims to create soulful places that enrich people’s lives, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
