Nexans presents state-of-the-art cabling solutions at Adipec
ABU DHABI, November 12, 2018
Nexans, a global leader in advanced cabling, will present its innovative, quality and cost-effective cable solutions, designed to meet the needs of projects of all sizes and complexities in the Middle East, at the Adipec expo.
The company will display its broad portfolio of products and services for the oil and gas offshore and onshore projects at the show which opened in Abu Dhabi today. Adipec will run till November 15 at Adnec.
Building on the decades of experience in the oil and gas subsea projects, including in regional large-scale projects such as West Nile Delta in Egypt and Abu Dhabi’s Nasr Oil Field, Nexans will showcase its bespoke high voltage direct and alternating current (HVDC and HVAC) cabling solutions.
The group will also introduce its cutting-edge cable-laying vessel Nexans Aurora with high manouverability and station keeping capacity, designed to ensure a safe and efficient transport and installation of large volumes of cable systems in shallow and deep waters, it said.
Together with Adnoc, Nexans will present a case study simulating a transmission link project in the Middle East, sharing tips and best practices for each step of a high voltage submarine cable project.
In addition, Nexans’ drilling and topside offering presented at the event includes Gexol range of power, control and instrumentation cables as well as Shiplink cables for IEC-spec offshore platforms and floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) units throughout the world.
Leveraging its industry-leading expertise in the design and manufacture of offshore bridle and overwater umbilical connectivity projects, Nexans will demonstrate its innovative connection solutions for extremely harsh and dynamic operating environments, including 5 / 8 / 15 kV assemblies, tender-to-platform bridles, ship-to-shore power and portable power generation.
For the oil and gas downstream market, Nexans will be showcasing its flagship product, Nexans Hypron. Designed for refineries and petrochemical installations in moist areas with aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, this new generation of power and control cables offers a more sustainable lead-free alternative to conventional lead-covered cable. Nexans Hypron is featured in some of the most prominent projects in the Middle East, including Oman’s Liwa Plastics Industries Complex or the Gasco’s ABICS refinery in Abu Dhabi.
Nexans will also be introducing its range of solutions and services for oil and gas onshore and downstream markets at Adipec. The training programmes led by Nexans’ experts aim at helping customers master all cabling-related parts of their projects: from defining the needs and specifications of cables, to securing safe and on-time cable installation within allocated budget, to ensuring compliance with local and global regulations regarding construction products.
Nexans’ solutions and services can also guide technical project managers in maintaining their site across its operational life, including recycling and buy-back monetization of cable waste, the company said. - TradeArabia News Service
