Empower sponsors WGES 2018 as global partner

DUBAI, August 6, 2018

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), a leading district cooling services provider, has announced its sponsorship as a global partner in the upcoming fifth World Green Economy Summit (WGES) in Dubai, UAE.

WGES 2018 will be held under the patronage of the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on October 24 and 25 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, under the slogan "Driving Innovation, Leading Change", reported Emirates news agency Wam.

Empower’s support for the summit is part of its efforts to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, as well as to promote green transformation, digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI).

"WGES is a strategic global platform that brings together influential leaders and decision-makers in the areas of the green economy, energy efficiency and conservation. It is our pleasure to sponsor this important global event, and we are keen to participate in such major international energy events, to review the latest technologies, innovative achievements and approaches. The summit will be an opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge," said Ahmad bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

Empower aims to highlight the importance of innovation in energy efficiency and sustainable development, as well as to foster a culture of innovation, by providing innovative and safe district cooling solutions according to the best global practices, which have enabled the UAE to lead in creating smart global cities.
