Mammoet’s new operational hub in Jubail.

Mammoet opens new facility in Saudi Arabia

, June 24, 2018

Mammoet, a global engineered heavy lifting and transport specialist, has moved to a new operational hub in the city of Jubail, Saudi Arabia, to strengthen its presence in the country and better serve its clients.

The new facility, which consists of an office building and 20,000-sq-m yard, will enable Mammoet to accelerate its growth in the region and accommodate the increase of equipment and personnel, a company statement said.

The larger yard will allow for in-house maintenance and repair of the equipment fleet.

Darren Bland, general manager of Mammoet’s Saudi Arabia operations, said: “We are concentrating on our expansion in the region and the office is strategically placed closer to our customers to further develop relations, reinforcing our emphasis on service, accessibility and providing quality solutions at all times.”

Further equipment will also be added to the existing fleet in the Kingdom, including conventional trailer axles, self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) and a fleet of hydraulic cranes ranging in capacity from 60 to 500 tons.

“The new office is an important milestone for our regional investment and supports our long-term strategy, as well as our commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030,” added Darren.

Mammoet has been present in Saudi Arabia for over 40 years, with its first project carried out in the 1970s. Since then the branch has handled a wide range of prestigious projects in the Kingdom, providing transport and lifting services for clients in the power, petrochemical, civil and infrastructure sectors.
