Abu Dhabi to complete $32m civic projects in Q2

ABU DHABI, April 28, 2018

The Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) is set to complete Dh118 million ($32.3 million) worth of development projects during the second quarter in co-operation with Musanada.

The civic body has nearly completed the Roads and Infrastructure Project of District 25 at Al Maqta South, reported state news agency Wam.

During the second quarter, the ADM will complete construction of roads and infrastructure to serve residential land plots on both sides of Al Maqta Canal in the emirate for 66 new residential units.

It also includes the construction of 1.7-km-long dual carriageways, a single carriageway stretching 1.25 km besides providing water, electricity, communications and sanitation services for all residential units, it stated.

In addition, the project includes undertaking all construction works such as streetlighting, road signs and maritime protection through landfills using rocky materials on both sides of the canal at the back of the reclaimed residential land plots of the project.

The project, which covers more than 111,000 sq m, aims to improve the infrastructure of District 25 at Al Maqta South as part of comprehensive projects aimed at upgrading the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi city and suburban areas, said the report.

The implementation of such vital projects with the strategic partners comes in line with the commitment of the Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities to providing advanced infrastructure at international standards along with safe and efficient roads conforming to the development witnessed by the emirate of Abu Dhabi at all levels, it added.
