Northern Gulf's top 3 expos kick off in Bahrain

MANAMA, April 24, 2018

A festival of exhibitions showcasing the latest products and services for the construction, property and interiors sectors opened today (April 24) under the patronage of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).

The Gulf Construction Expo, Gulf Property Show and Interiors Expo, are taking place alongside each other, providing the largest integrated business-to-business showcase for these key sectors ever to be staged in the Northern Gulf.

HRH the Premier toured the expos following the inauguration and praised the shows for their quality.

The exhibitions have attracted major participation from international and regional companies that are seeking opportunities for growth in the Gulf region. Some 160 exhibitors will present their expertise over 5,500 sq m of exhibition space, said the event organisers Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE).

Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision to promote economic growth and diversification away from oil will be given a strong push in Bahrain at the three events.

At the Gulf Construction Expo alone, there are 17 construction and building material companies from the kingdom showcasing their expertise; the Interiors Expo hosts five Saudi companies while the property show has been chosen by two realtors from Saudi Arabia to promote their latest offerings to the Northern Gulf.

The Gulf Property Show hosts companies from Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi representing the UAE as well as real estate brokers and developers from the UK and Turkey. This year’s event has attracted developers from Pakistan for the first time.

"The Gulf Construction Expo, Gulf Property Show and Interiors Expo provide the biggest integrated business-to-business showcase for the construction, interiors and property sectors ever to be staged in the Northern Gulf," remarked Jubran Abdulrahman, the managing director of HCE.

"The new elements added to the event will only enhance visitor enjoyment and experience at what has become for many the annual must-attend date in their diaries," he added.

HIGHLIGHTS

So what are the new elements that have been added to the three shows this year?

Firstly, the size of the shows has increased collectively by 25 per cent on the 2017 editions, which will give visitors more products and companies to see and engage with. Secondly, the Interiors Expo has added two new features: The “On the Wall” art exposition and the Interiors Shopper offering bargains on interiors furnishings. The exhibition offers are not limited to the Interiors Expo with offers abounding across the Gulf Property Show and Gulf Construction Expo.

Thirdly, there is a strong line-up of conferences, seminars and workshops scheduled over the three days.

“HCE has taken its role to promote Bahrain as a business hub seriously and has implemented an extensive campaign across radio, social media, outdoor advertising and old-fashioned leafleting,” stated Ahmed Suleiman, the exhibitions director at HCE.

"The campaign will ensure that the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre will be the centre of attention for investors and business visitor to Bahrain in the coming three days, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
