Bahrain to float Expo City tenders in Q1

Following the successful completion of the designs work for the new convention and exhibition centre in Bahrain, the government is all set to launch the tenders in the first quarter of 2018.
The detailed designs for the Expo City project were prepared in co-operation with the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. The project is likely to be completed by 2020.
Once ready, the 100,000-sq-m Expo City will be able to accommodate over 4,000 people at a time.
Unveiling the big Expo City plans, Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Al Zayani said: "On completion, it will have a huge potential for hosting exhibitions and conference and put Bahrain on the international map.”
To be built near the Bahrain International Circuit, it will include 10 exhibition halls and areas dedicated for retail and events, said the minister.
It will also include a conference hall which can be divided into three separate halls, 27 small and medium conference and meeting rooms, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
