ERC to build water supply network in Yemen

ABU DHABI, December 3, 2017

The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has signed an agreement with Lahij Governorate, Yemen, for building a water supply network in Al Anad area of Yemen, said a report.

The agreement also includes installation of a solar-powered water pump, reported state news agency Wam.

Nasser AlKhabji, Governor of Lahj, thanked the UAE for providing much-needed assistance to the people of Yemen, saying the new project would contribute to easing the burden on living conditions, stated the report.

The ERC has supported infrastructure projects in the governorate in education, health and electricity sectors, it added.
