Conex Bänninger to unveil innovative solutions at Big 5
DUBAI, November 9, 2017
Conex Bänninger, a global leader in the design and manufacture of fittings, valves and accessories for domestic, commercial and industrial applications, including air-conditioning and refrigeration, will be showcasing the innovative new additions to its product portfolio at the upcoming Big 5 expo in Dubai, UAE.
The company, which boasts solid bases in six continents across the globe, recently opened its office and warehouse in Dubai to consolidate its growing presence in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and other part of the Middle East.
Conex Bänninger is a brand belonging to IBP Group, a globally focused business encompassing the design, manufacture and supply of plumbing fittings, valves and bathroom products.
Richard Franks, the business unit director for the Gulf, said: "As well as being the largest construction event in the Middle East, The Big 5 presents us with a terrific platform to meet our current customers in the region as well as exploring potential business opportunities with new persons."
"It is a very worthwhile and productive four days, which is why IBP Group has chosen to exhibit Conex Bänninger products here for a number of years," stated Franks.
"I’m particularly excited to be able to introduce the >B< MaxiPro range, which has proven successful since its adoption in Australia and which is making significant advances following its introduction earlier this year in the UK and Europe," he added.
According to him, the >B< MaxiPro is an innovative flame-free press fitting solution developed by Conex Bänninger for air-conditioning and refrigeration applications.
"As a mechanically strong joint, there is no need for a hot works permit, the risk of fire is eliminated, it can be used in confined spaces and the speed of connection is significantly faster than for ‘traditional’ brazing," he explained.
The product can be used up to a maximum operating pressure of 48 bar, with a permanent maximum operating temperature of range of -40 deg C to 140 deg C. To produce a permanent tight connection, the fittings are pressed over three points, one on each side of the bead and one compressing the O-ring, he added.
Each fitting comes with an industry-standard 12-month warranty, extended to five years when the official training programme is undertaken and the installation is made in line with Conex Bänninger guidelines.
Franks said the other flame-free solutions to be promoted at The Big 5 will include >B<Press, Copper Push-Fit, >B<Push, Conex compression and Conex Push-Fit.
The resilient seated gate valves, butterfly and air release valves, were custom designed by Conex Bänninger to cope with the arid desert conditions.
The valves, manufactured in IBP’s purpose-built factories, are a key element in the irrigation networks for major attractions including the Dubai Parks and Resorts integrated theme parks and the world-class Dubai Opera in the Downtown Dubai opera district.
The valves were supplied by Delta Power Electrical, which specialises in providing support services across the Middle East and is a distributor for Conex Bänninger’s range of valves. The valves help to maintain and manage the flow of treated water to pump stations and on into local pipelines.
Delta Power Electrical is also using Conex Bänninger industrial valves for the irrigation network that will supply water for landscaping around entrances, pathways and accommodation for Expo 2020, the world fair site being developed in four phases.
Nitin Sinha, the business head for Delta Power Electrical, said: “These are hugely significant projects and it is really important that the right surroundings are created and maintained around them, particularly when we are talking about parks and resorts.”
The harsh environment required a bespoke solution, said Nitin.
“Conex Bänninger worked with us for six to eight months, offering lots of technical advice and have developed a custom range of products for the Dubai market because conditions are a lot harder here than in Europe,” he added.-TradeArabia News Service
