Arabian Supplies wins Oman market project deal

MUSCAT, November 7, 2017

Arabian Supplies and Contracting, a leading construction company in Oman, has been awarded a contract to build a 75,778-sq-ft fish market in Al Seeb city of the sultanate valued at RO1.75 million ($4.53 million), said a report.

The market will boast 12 retail shops, a factory for ice, 64 tables for fish display, 37 tables for fish cutting, a restaurant for sea food, a coffee shop and other services, reported the Times of Oman.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, which awarded the contract to Arabian Supplies, said the new fish market will be built as per world class standards. Work on the project will begin this year, stated the report.

The ground floor of the market will be spread over 4,800 sq m, while the first floor will be on 3,400 sq m, it added.
