Contract awarded for Marassi Al Bahrain residences
MANAMA, October 16, 2017
Eagle Hills Diyar, developer of distinguished urban project Marassi Al Bahrain, has awarded the main construction contract for its 38,500-sq-m Marassi Boulevard residential component to Kooheji Contractors, a leading Bahrain-based contracting firm.
Marassi Boulevard is a four-building apartment complex that will offer views of the landscaped Marassi Al Bahrain community off Muharraq. Lined with 700 sq m of retail space, the residences face Marassi Galleria, and are within walking distance to its bustling seafront promenade.
The awarding of the contract comes following the recent ground-breaking of Marassi Shores Residences, which is set to be completed by the third quarter of 2019, said a statement from Eagle Hills Diyar.
Works on the first phase is on track to deliver a unique master-planned urban development, offering 865,000 sq m of waterfront residential, hospitality, retail, and entertainment space.
A major urban development, Marassi Al Bahrain is set to become the kingdom’s premiere ‘smart city’, offering luxury homes, high-end shopping, leisure and entertainment.
Dr Maher Alshaer, the managing director of Eagle Hills Diyar, said: "As construction on Marassi Boulevard kicks off in October and piling begins for the full four-building development and retail space, including all amenities - the development is set to be ready for handover within 24 months."
"With the support of our selected partners to bring our development to life, we are confident in our ability to deliver an unprecedented lifestyle destination in the kingdom," remarked Alshaer.
Marassi Boulevard is a short walk from Marassi Al Bahrain’s two-km beachfront promenade, the island’s new-to-market hotels, The Address Marassi Al Bahrain and Vida Marassi Al Bahrain, and the landmark shopping and entertainment destination, Marassi Galleria, offering convenient access to extensive retail, restaurants and café options.
The four towers will offer great views and house a collection of 240 elegantly designed and spacious studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, staggered across nine storeys.
The four buildings are clustered around a lushly landscaped courtyard creating a semi-gated community where all amenities such as the gym, swimming pools, children’s play area, and basement parking have private access.
"A contemporary design, fine material, natural lighting and spectacular views make Marassi Boulevard the premier metropolitan experience in Bahrain," remarked Alshaer.
"The architectural style also complements the natural surroundings, so that the buildings perfectly blend within our masterplan for urban living," he added.
Upon completion, Marassi Al Bahrain will be home to 22,000 residents with a total of 6,000 homes and a retail space of 250,000 sq m, making a significant contribution to Bahrain’s economy and creating over 1,200 jobs.
The project is being developed by Eagle Hills, a private real estate investment and development company, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, as part of a joint venture agreement with Diyar Al Muharraq, the developer of mega-project Diyar Al Muharraq.-TradeArabia News Service
