Leading real estate investment firm JLL has appointed Ibrahim Albuloushi as its new national director and country head for Saudi Arabia replacing Jamil Ghaznawi, who moves into a senior role with an important client of the firm.

JLL, one of the world's leading real estate investment and advisory firms, has appointed Ibrahim Albuloushi as its new national director and country head for Saudi Arabia replacing Jamil Ghaznawi, who is moving into a senior role with an important client of the firm.

Ghaznawi had been overseeing JLL’s operations in the kingdom for the past three years, said the company in a statement.

Albuloushi is an international executive with 20 years’ experience in creating vision and strategic direction with primary skills in Islamic banking, real estate development and property management.

He joins JLL from Kingdom Holding Company where he has served as chief real estate development officer for the past two years. Before joining Kingdom Holding, he was CEO of Knowledge Economic City, which serves Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification strategy and is reviving Madinah’s role as a centre for Islamic knowledge, it stated.

Welcoming the appointment, Alan Robertson, the chief executive of JLL Mena, said: "Albuloushi  joins us with an impressive and results-driven background that will help us negotiate the fast changing landscape in Saudi Arabia."

Previously, he worked as western regional director and was a member of the Investment Committee for Dar Al Arkan, during which time he participated in the valuation of companies and conducted feasibility studies, whilst fundraising with different structures for real estate development projects, said the JLL statement.

On his new role, Albuloushi said: “I’m joining JLL at an exciting time where my skills, marketplace knowledge and strategic thinking will be key to continuing the success that has already been achieved.”
