Seafront projects 'vital to Bahrain's tourism'

MANAMA, June 10, 2017

Seafront projects are vital for Bahrain as they will play a significant role in turning the kingdom into an important touristic destination, said the Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Essam bin Abdulla Khalaf.

He was speaking at a meeting with senior officials of Bahrain Bay Company including the CEO Ghaghan Suri, development director Ken Sweeni and associate manager Shaima Noor Al Dein. Present from the ministry was also chairman of the Central Planning Office Dominic Mc Polin.

Khalaf stressed the ministry’s support to plans aimed at improving the seafront in Bahrain. He also commended Bahrain Bay Company’s development plan.

Suri expressed his trust in the ministry’s expertise and viewpoints with regards to enhancing the development plan of Bahrain Bay. He also lauded the ministry’s contribution to improving infrastructure in Bahrain and providing a decent life to the Bahraini citizens.

The meeting shed light on Bahrain Bay Company’s development plan, which contains several stages to develop the seafront. Al Khalaf also lauded the successful events held in Bahrain Bay like the recent Food Festival.

According to Bahrain Bay Company officials, several other events have been lined up this year.-TradeArabia News Service
