Dubai government has launched its new Enterprise Command and Control Centre (EC3) for road and transport systems, said a report.

It will act as a unified platform linking various control centres of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and operational agencies with an integrated central control unit, reported state news agency Wam.

HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated the EC3, which will prop up the RTA’s efforts towards transforming Dubai into the smartest city worldwide in the field of transport.

The centre will also ease traffic congestion and improve customers’ transit experience, contributing to their happiness by offering direct feed of information about the mobility of various transit modes, it added.
