Six Construct wins big at Meed Quality Awards

Besix/Six Construct, a leading multi-services company operating in the construction of commercial and residential buildings, has won six awards at this year’s edition of the Meed 2017 Quality Awards.
Six Construct, a subsidiary of the Besix Group, is the largest Belgian construction company operating in the Middle East.
Besix/Six Construct were nominated in six award categories, and walked away with a total of six awards at the award ceremony held recently at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina in the UAE.
The Qatar Gabbro Terminal (Bulk Material Handling System) won in the category for Logistics Project of the Year in GCC, as well as Logistics Project of the Year in Qatar, while the Sewage Treatment Plant at Ruwais was recognised for being the best Sustainability project in the UAE, as well as the best Water project in the UAE.
The Green Planet won an award for Leisure & Tourism Project of the Year in the UAE, and Sohar Industrial Port received recognition for Water Project of the Year in Oman.
On the big win, Pierre Sironval, the managing director of Besix/Six Construct, said: "We are very honoured to receive recognition from Meed for the various projects, and the successes we have achieved over the past year."
Lauding the entire team for their continued efforts and hard work, Sironval stated that the company will continue to strive to be the best in the industry in the GCC.
The 2017 Meed Quality Awards for Projects recognised a total of 21 outstanding projects throughout the region, and the UAE topped the region with eight GCC award winners, followed by Qatar with five and Kuwait with three. Bahrain and Oman each had one regional winner-TradeArabia News Service
