Leading Indian engineering and construction group Shapoorji Pallonji has appointed Cyrus Engineer as the new managing director for the Gulf region.

In his new role at Shapoorji Pallonji International Property Developers (SPIPD), Engineer will lead the company’s overall real estate business operations in the region, a move that was made to support the company’s continued growth and expansion.

He will also be responsible for overseeing the development of Shapoorji Pallonji’s ongoing projects including its flagship project, Imperial Avenue, as well as steer the company’s vision, said the Indian enginering giant in a statement.

With over 22 years of senior management experience, Engineer brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role including realising and achieving company vision, personally building, supervising and motivating teams, delivering and achieving revenue and profit targets, strategic planning and delivering sales and marketing objectives while enhancing the customer experience.

His knowledge will further support SPIPD plans to become a market leader internationally, it stated.  

In his previous role, Engineer was the chief sales and marketing officer at Shapoorji Pallonji in India, where he also served as part of the executive committee and was in-charge of sales and leasing, marketing, customer relationship management and new product development for projects in India.

Rayomand Dastur, the director sales and marketing at SPIPD, said: "Engineer has earned his position at the group level having led various projects in India while ensuring comprehensive achievement of all target revenues."
