Seoli Innovations rolls out 'smart glass' in Middle East

DUBAI, March 15, 2017

UAE-based Seoli Innovations has announced the Middle East launch of new 'smart glass' which can be adapted to today’s rising design challenges and is ideal for hospitals and residential buildings.

Inaugurating its office at Dubai Design District, Seoli Innovations revealed its smart glass products catering to developers, home owners, hospitals and industry professionals, allowing them to adopt energy and cost-efficient solutions that transform their spaces into flexible and smart living or work experiences, said the company in a statement.

A key player in the business of selling and installing switchable privacy glass, Seoli Innovations pointed out that the smart glass is manufactured according to the highest international standards.

It can be customised to the needs of developers, it stated.

The novel product offers a seamless solution that transforms from a transparent state to an opaque film in a switch of a button, said a senior official.

"The smart glass market has come a long way in providing optimised solutions to developers, and today, it provides unprecedented control over the amount of light, privacy and heat that enters a space," remarked its founder and general manager Areej Yafi.

"It is the ideal solution for modern and flexible spaces and support modern trends for energy efficient solutions," she noted.

While smart glass provides significant advantages for engineers, homeowners and corporate clients, the most tangible benefit is also seen with patients and medical practitioners in hospitals and clinics where smart glass is used as a substitute to curtains and blinds, stated Yafi.

Driven by a market with an increase in demand for energy and cost-efficient products, the Seoli smart glass products have been in demand by various industries, giving them the ability to redefine environments and create multifunctional spaces that adapt and respond to the needs of the users, she pointed out.

"There’s no doubt that our smart glass helps architects and designers to elegantly resolve solar control challenges without losing the aesthetics and design," said Yafi.

According to her, the use of smart glasses in hospitals, whether as exterior windows or interior divisions, significantly reduces unwanted hygiene risks and help take the worry out of the healing process.

"It also serves as a fast tool to transform an open room to a private one when needed," she added.-TradeArabia News Service
