Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region, has announced a comprehensive redevelopment plan for City Centre Ajman that will see the mall almost double in size, from 29,000 to 52,000 sqm, - and the number of car parking spaces will increase from 1,800 to 3,200.

Phase One of the redevelopment, when completed in September, will provide 100 retail and dining outlets, a new Magic Planet and food court together with expanded VOX Cinema and 3,200 car parking spaces, said a statement from the group.

Majid Al Futtaim said during the revamp work, it will provide 1,600 temporary parking spaces at the City Centre Ajman.

These temporary parking facilities, located at the front and back of the mall, will be easily accessible via a new road.

In addition, the City Centre Ajman has introduced a complimentary buggy service to pick up and drop off customers at four locations in the mall and Carrefour Hypermarket too has deployed additional porters to assist delivering groceries to the new parking areas.

The new temporary parking spaces ensure that mall operations will continue uninterrupted thus allowing customers to shop, dine and enjoy the entertainment offer without disruption during the execution of the redevelopment works, said a top official.

"We are pleased to continue to cater to our loyal visitors by offering alternate parking solutions to maintain convenience and access to City Centre Ajman," remarked Abdulhamid Bukhashem, senior mall manager for City Centre Ajman.  

The new expansion and car park initiative at City Centre Ajman will feature the latest construction technology, to provide a sustainable and energy efficient building, he stated.

City Centre Ajman continues to cater to visitors offering entertainment at its renovated Vox Cinemas with nine screens, a Max theatre, a kids theatre, newly-launched 4DX and fully loaded candy bar; the largest entertainment centre, Magic Planet with thrilling games, rollercoasters and the exciting bumper car ride; in house supermarket Carrefour and dining and retail outlets also continue to operate throughout the redevelopment of the mall.-TradeArabia News Service
