JLL names Mena asset management head

DUBAI, December 13, 2016

JLL, a leading real estate investment and advisory firm, has appointed Colin Dowall as its new regional director and head of property and asset management services for the Middle East and North Africa (Mena).

Dowall has taken over from Graham Howat who moved back to his home in the UK, joining JLL’s City of London Property Asset Management team as regional director, said a statement from JLL.

His wealth of experience in property and asset management spans over 20 years with JLL in Europe, Far East and the Middle East. In his new Dubai-based role, Dowall will lead the firm’s property management operation services and oversee the development of an international standard property management service to JLL’s Mena clients.

He recently moved to Dubai from China where he led JLL’s premium asset group, specialising in property management consultancy in tall and super-tall mixed-use buildings and developments.

Dowall has spent over 10 years in China setting up and leading five regional teams of retail and mixed-use management specialists and consulted on mixed-use developments in Asia-Pacific region.
 
JLL’s experienced team of property and asset management professionals across the region have advised a number of key Mena clients including Emaar, Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), Al Futtaim, Mubadala, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), InvestAD, ICT in UAE and Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC), King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) and Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

On the new role, Dowall, said: "Drawing on the experience of our dynamic property and asset management services teams across Mena, I will continue working with the team to build our regional capabilities while focusing on creating an even more sustainable business going forward."
