The Sustainable City, a unique concept that redefines sustainable living through its energy-efficient housing, attracted a lot of attention from industry experts and specialists at Wetex 2016 held recently in Dubai, UAE.

The first net zero energy city in Dubai, Sustainable City is being modelled with the support and direct supervision of the Dubai government to become an international showcase for high-quality sustainable living.

It offers the three pillars of sustainability; Environmental, Economic and Social, across one all-inclusive and comprehensive community landscape.

The Sustainable City, being developed by Diamond Developers, offers a full array of luxury facilities and amenities that have no negative impact on the environment.

It redefines sustainable living through its energy-efficient housing, no service or maintenance fees, green education and healthcare, eco-attractions and a full range of indoor and outdoor leisure activities.

The project stand at the first Dubai solar show which was held in conjunction with the 18th water, energy, technology, and environment exhibition (Wetex) was a big hit with experts and specialists interested in learning about the first and largest sustainable community of its kind in the region, said the project developer.

During its three days, the stand - which was the biggest in Wetex this year- showcased the environmental, economical, and social sustainable solutions, and shared the innovative strategies implemented to reduce energy consumption, and ensure 100 per cent water and waste recycling, it stated.

During the expo, Diamond Developers won an honorary award for its participation in “Shams Dubai” initiative which aims to transform Dubai into a global hub for green economy and clean energy, and ensure that the city has the lowest carbon footprint in the world by 2050.

Sustainable City is the latest advanced ecological community concept from Diamond Developers, said the statement.
