Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of major tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, has signed up ART Marine, a leading marina management company in the region, to operate its marinas located at the Eastern Mangroves complex and at Marsa Al Bateen in the emirate.

The Eastern Mangroves Marina, located within the Eastern Mangroves complex, features 30 berths that can house boats and yachts ranging from 8 to 33 m long, said a statement from TDIC.

Marsa Al Bateen features two marinas that can dock a total of 372 vessels which range from 10 to 30 m in length. It also features the GCC’s first commercial dry stack that can house up to 138 boats that are as long as 9 m.

The marinas offer boat owners the opportunity to dock their crafts in distinct locations that offer access to high-quality facilities and boutique services, it added.

CEO Sufian H Al Marzooqi said: "We are pleased to announce the appointment of ART Marine as our new marina operator. This reflects our ongoing commitment to providing high quality services to boat owners and their guests."

ART Marine, a portfolio company of ‘The Abraaj Group,’ was incepted in 2005 and has successfully delivered the highest number of yachts in the region.

"We are confident that ART Marine will enhance our marine-based offerings in Abu Dhabi even further, and we look forward to welcoming boat owners to both Eastern Mangroves Marina and Marsa Al Bateen," he stated.

As per the deal, the company will offer key services to boat owners including cleaning, chandlery (boat supplies), boat registration, and 24-hour berthing and guest assistance, noted Stinner.
