Vinci unit acquires Chilean construction group

Vinci, a global player in concessions and construction sector, said its subsidiary Eurovia has acquired Bitumix CVV, one of Chile's main transport infrastructure construction and urban development companies.
Eurovia boosted its holding in the company from 50 per cent to 100 per cent through its Chilean subsidiary Bitumix.
The company was previously jointly controlled with the Chilean Claro Vicuna Valenzuela Group.
A specialist in roadworks in the central Biobio and Araucanía regions, Bitumix CVV has industrial facilities in the cities of Concepción (Chile's second-largest urban area), Chillan, Los Angeles and Temuco.
Bitumix CVV generated revenue of €16 million and produced about 200,000 tonnes of asphalt mix in 2015.
Th acquisition of 100 per cent of Bitumix CVV rounds out its coverage of Chile south of Santiago.
Eurovia, a subsidiary of Vinci, is a world leader in the construction of transport infrastructure and urban development.
The company builds transport infrastructure, including roads, highways, railways, and airport and tramway platforms, and contributes to industrial, commercial, and urban site development.
It operates in 15 countries, employs 38,000 people, and achieved sales of €7.9 billion in 2015.-TradeArabia News Service
