Experts discuss challenges in smart grids implementation

Leading technology experts from across the region will discuss the major challenges in the implementation of smart girds and smart meters in the GCC at a major conference in Dubai, UAE.
The sixth edition of the annual Smart Grids and Smart Meters Summit will run from November 1 to 2 at the Le Meridien Dubai conference centre.
The key features of the event include the participation of government and regional stakeholders, international case studies, global perspective of smart grids and smart metering and global technologies for providing better solutions for the future.
It will witness industry experts and delegates discussing and debating on how to use renewable energy and grid integrations in the sector, said the event organisers Fleming.
The event will put focus on the regulatory perspectives that would benefit the implementation of new technology, clear perspectives of the response generated for grids and meters in GCC countries, establishiment of control centres for smart grids andinnovative applications.
The attendees will be a part of notable sessions that include a wide range of topics like: How to pave the way ahead for the introduction of smart grid and metering by adopting law and regulatory perspectives, what suitable measures are to be taken up to replace the traditional metering with the latest smart meters and building an acceptable design that can prove to be a prominent solution to all key issues.
