Egyptian developer plans new tourism project

CAIRO, June 8, 2016

Egypt's Al Ahly For Real Estate Development is set to start work on a new tourism project on the north coast in partnership with a leading real estate investments company this year.

The project, which will be developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) system, boasts two hotels, villas and chalets with various facilities spread over an area of 1.26 million sq m, reported Amwal Alghad.

The northern coast (the Mediterranean coast of Egypt) extends for about 1,050 km from Rafah in the east on Sinai Peninsula to Sallum in the west on the Egyptian-Libyan border. It is one of the longest Mediterranean shores in North Africa, stated the report.

The new tourism project will be completed within two-and-a-half years, it added.
