Bahrain storm water drainage project on track

Work on the C3 Storm Water Drainage Project in Bahrain is progressing as per schedule with about 65 per cent of the scheme completed, said a senior government official.
It involves major work including extension of 1.12km of main connections and construction of 36 inspection chambers besides 56 storm water collection points and 12 storm water collection tanks, stated Asma Murad, the Sanitary Engineering assistant undersecretary at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning.
According to her, the BD266,950 ($702,260) project, which was awarded to Bahrain Pipes, will cater to 15 blocks in the Northern Governorate.
These include Block 477 in Shakhoora, Block 368 in South Sehla, Block 460 in Karana, Block 450 in Maqsha, Block 469 in Abu Saiba, Block 450 in Diraz, Block 509 in Maqaba, Block 539 in Bani Jamra, Blocks 523 and 521 in Saar, Block 518 in Barbar, Block 425 in Jidhafs, Block 551 in Quraya, Block 752 in Buri and Block 1022 in Demistan, she added.-TradeArabia News Service
