Bahrain sewage network project on track

Work on the sewerage network in the Demistan area of Bahrain is progressing as per schedule with 85 per cent of the project completed, according to the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning.

Sanitary engineering assistant undersecretary at the ministry Asma Jassim Murad said the BD195,000 ($512,982) project is being implemented by Abdul Hadi Al Afu company.

The scope of work includes extension of 1,300 m of main and sub-connections, constructing 50 inspection chambers for both the main and sub-connections and connecting 52 houses in Block 1019 at Demistan and land plots to the network.
