Jeddah mall launches smart parking facility

The Red Sea Mall, Jeddah's biggest shopping centre and family entertainment complex, said it has completed the first phase of its 'smart parking' project at an investment of SR60 million ($16 million) to help elevate the shopping and entertainment experience of the customers.
The new smart parking lot at the Red Sea Mall was launched in the presence of Sheikh Salih bin Mahfouz and Mohammed Alawi, CEO of Red Sea Malls Company.
The new smart parking lot, being developed on 36,000 sq m area in the Saudi city, rises up to six floors in height offering parking space for more than 1,500 cars. It will also include elevators and numerous services to the mall visitors and employees, said the mall in its statement.
On the new facility, Al Alawi said the smart building initiative was aimed at increasing the mall's visitors capacity to 22 million visitors annually.
"We were keen on investing in the latest technology into the mall's commodities to ensure our visitors' satisfaction and delight, in addition to the interior and exterior parking lots, which lead to the two main gates of the mall, through the ground and first floor, ensuring a sleek access to our valued guests," he noted.
According to him, the second phase of the mall's expansion is already in progress, which will include upgrading the building.-TradeArabia News Service
