Laticrete launches first pump truck in UAE
RAS AL KHAIMAH, April 28, 2016
Laticrete Middle East has launched its first pump truck, which will allow construction professionals in Middle East to finish new concrete or level existing slabs to the highest standard in record time while significantly reducing project costs.
The launch was held at Meydan Hotel at the race course in Dubai, which was attended by prominent architects, consultants, contractors and applicators from the UAE region.
Laticrete's detailed technical presentation was further enhanced by the live demo of the Laticrete Supercap truck and Spartacote Coating system in the same outdoor venue.
Welcoming the guests, Sujit Singh, the managing director of Laticrete Middle East and Africa, the exclusive supplier of the system in the region, emphasised the potential of Supercap being the "technology of tomorrow" in the GCC region and especially in the UAE market.
With the speed the UAE is growing, it is necessary to adopt the time and labour saving technology which is green, dust free and cost effective, he stated.
A technical presentation and discussion were led by the visitors from Laticrete US.
Laticrete Supercap is a Leed-qualified, Greenguard certified, low alkali, self-leveling, cement-based technology.
Pioneered by multi-national firm Laticrete Supercap, the Supercap mobile blending unit (MBU) mixes the proprietary engineered self-leveling cement formula at the job site using a computer-controlled on-board system, said a statement from the company.
The mix is then delivered from street level to heights of over 50 stories, eliminating the need for hauling unmixed materials into the building.
Laticrete Supercap Applicators easily install the product onto the sub-floor at a rate of up to 15 tons of material per hour, making 4600 sq m installations possible in a single day, it stated.
According to Singh, the Laticrete Supercap SC500 is the most advanced self-leveling underlayment on the market today. The low alkali formula offers extremely fast curing times, allowing foot traffic to resume in 2 - 4 hours.
Combined with the unmatched delivery capabilities of the MBU, the system is the long awaited answer to ensuring that all flatness tolerances are met with minimal project disruption, he stated.
"The Laticrete Supercap is a new delivery system which is changing traditional methods of finishing and capping concrete slabs throughout the world and we are excited to bring this cutting-edge technology to GCC," explained Singh.
"It has been proven to be better, faster, safer and less expensive on hundreds of job sites and over millions of square meters in major metropolitan areas. There is nothing else like it on the market today," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
