Gulf Projects seminar puts spotlight on Saudi projects
MANAMA, April 25, 2016
A major seminar will be held on the sidelines of the Bahrain's annual showcase for the construction (gulfBID), interiors (gulfInteriors) and the property (Gulf Property Show) - also known as 3Gs - to provide updates on Saudi Arabia’s largest construction projects such as the giant Jabal Omar Development in Makkah.
The project boasts 40 residential towers that can accommodate up to 160,000 pilgrims and a large prayer hall for 200,000 worshippers, said Gulf Projects.me, the virtual home of Gulf Projects and Tenders, the region's project knowledge database.
The Gulf Project Information service draws on the accumulated market knowledge of the Al Hilal Group, one of the GCC’s most respected trade publishers with over 40 years’ of experience across construction, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial and other key sectors.
The 3Gs opens tomorrow (April 26) under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain, and will run till Thursday (April 28) at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
The event is aimed at providing the biggest integrated business-to-business platforms for the construction, interior and property sectors in the Northern Gulf, said the organiser Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE).
“Saudi Arabia is currently home to the GCC’s largest construction industry. And with Bahrain as an international gateway to Saudi Arabia, we experience a traffic of companies all over the world seeking business opportunities starting in Bahrain," stated Ahmed Suleiman, the director of HCE.
"The Gulf Projects analysis programme of project updates helps companies and investors review their business development strategies," he added.
Jabal Omar Development will be the main topic of Gulf Projects.me’s analysis program at the seminar to be held on April 28 from 11am to 12pm at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center.
The experts at the seminar will offer updates on the mammoth $3.2-billion project being developed by Saudi-based Jabal Omar Development Company (JODC) including the details on the five-phase development programme.
The project will be divided into two areas - the northern area (that includes fourteen six-storey buildings and a six-storey prayer building) and the southern area (that includes the other towers). The construction work is progressing well on the project and is scheduled for completion in 2020.
"The objective of the seminar is to provide companies with leads to meet their needs and demands in the industry," explained Abdul Muneer, the senior analyst of Gulf Projects.me.
"Our team will provide a detailed insight on specific products and services; who to contact including project updates," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
