Construction Development Company (CDC), a leading Qatar-based construction firm, said it has signed up Levtech Consulting to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 at its offices to help streamline operations for future growth of the company.

A leading Microsoft Dynamics partner, Levtech Consulting said the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution is aimed at automating business functions and build a single operational platform across the group.

CDC Group covers every link in the project value chain and offers products and services at the highest international level.

With the capability to deliver the entire life cycle of any project, CDC has more than 5,000 employees who work with customers to design, finance, build and operate a project, said the company statement.

CDC was looking for a comprehensive ERP that would facilitate the seamless flow of information between different departments and help in co-ordinating resources and activities across the organisation.

Being a project-based firm, some of the key reasons for CDC to undertake this initiative was to optimise inventory costs, improve project controls and to have accurate data for decision making. They expect to go live with the solution by July 2016, said a senior official.

“Any disconnect can cause operational inefficiencies and affect our organisational performance. Hence it is critical for businesses to gain insight to effectively control and manage every component of the operations like finance, project accounting, budget control, procurement, human capital and inventory management, with powerful dashboards and reporting,” remarked Peter Sholy, the general manager at CDC.
