Contractors in Bahrain hint at red-tape woes

Many small and medium sized contractors have complained they might be forced to shut-down due to rising material costs, tougher competition from foreign firms and Labour Market Regulatory Authority’s (LMRA) stringent rules and procedures.
During a meeting at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) yesterday, Bahraini contractors said their business was also suffering due to bureaucratic red tape, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
