Dubai Sports Council renews Imdaad contract
DUBAI, January 19, 2016
Dubai Sports Council has renewed its contract with UAE-based Imdaad for provision of comprehensive facilities management (FM) services to the Hamdan Sports Complex in Dubai.
One of the biggest multi-purpose facilities in Middle East, Hamdan Sports Complex has been designed to host leading sporting events, including aquatic sports championships, 13 different sports such as basketball, tennis, boxing and martial arts.
Spread over 24 hectares of land, the complex boasts a seating capacity of 15,000 spectators.
Under the contract, Imdaad will provide hard FM and waste management to Hamdan Sports Complex for the next two years.
The company’s services comprise heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP), fire protection, solar heating system, underwater cameras, security and access control, and lifeguard monitoring, among others.
Imdaad said it will employ systems such as Omega display, timing, public address, and broadcasting to the sports complex to implement the services.
A team of technically proficient FM professionals will be on site round-the-clock to ensure proper functioning of all systems in the complex located on Emirates Road, said the company.
