Projects worth millions of dinars could soon be built on plots surrounding Bahrain’s biggest public beach after new zoning classifications were given the go-ahead. The Southern Municipal Council approved at its weekly meeting yesterday (January 13) a proposal by the Works, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Ministry to allow new family and commercial projects around and nearby Al Jazair Beach, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
