LONDON, December 6, 2015

Currie & Brown, a leading construction consultancy, has appointed Simon Andrews as the new chief operating officer of its Middle East business.

He replaces Ernie Pienaar who is retiring but will continue to work for Currie & Brown in a consulting capacity.

On the appointment, Euan McEwan, the group CEO, said: "I am delighted to welcome Andrews to Currie & Brown. He has been a chartered engineer in the building and infrastructure industry for over 30 years, most of which have been spent in the Middle East."

Andrews, he stated, has the ideal credentials to build on the growth that Currie & Brown has been experiencing in the Middle East in the last year or so.

One of the world’s leading physical assets management and construction consultancies, Currie & Brown has principal offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, London, Princeton NJ, Mumbai and Shanghai.

The company advises clients across a range of industries on the management of their physical assets – from procurement and construction to utilisation and disposal.

Andrews, who has worked with the company on several projects, said: "Following Currie & Brown’s recent acquisition of Sweett Group’s Asia Pacific and India businesses, I am very pleased to be joining them at this particularly exciting time."

"Currie & Brown has a well-established presence in the Middle East and a clear focus on the market it serves. My aim is to continue to grow the Middle East business by building on the existing reputation for first-class service delivery and by developing our project management and project controls services," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
