Saudi Build ... an opportunity for global construction firms to network with experts.
$1-trillion projects to drive Saudi construction boom
RIYADH, October 24, 2015
The construction sector in Saudi Arabia will continue its growth for the next few years in light of the value of ongoing and planned projects for transport, infrastructure, utilities, education, and healthcare collectively worth over $1 trillion, said a report ahead of an industry event in Riyadh.
Saudi Build, the 27th international construction technology and building materials exhibition, will be held from October 26 to 29 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
It is the biggest business-to-business construction show in the kingdom in terms of exhibition space, number of exhibitors, international participation, and number of visitors, said the event organisers Riyadh Exhibitions Company.
Saudi Build will play host to companies from over 19 countries and 17 national pavilions, it added.
The countries that have confirmed their participation include Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Finland, Greece, India, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, Switzerland, Ukraine, and the US.
Also, manufacturers of construction equipments from European countries will be out in force at the show.
There will also be national pavilions representing Austria, Belgium, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Korea, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, the UAE and the UK, said the organisers.
The four-day show is an opportunity for global construction firms to network with local and regional construction leaders and professionals, they added.
Driven by strong demographic expansion and the Saudi Government’s capital investment programs, the industry will continue its regional dominance as the biggest construction market for some time, said industry experts.
The burgeoning Saudi construction sector has given a tremendous boost for both local and international private sector companies to be key players in its growth and expansion.
The number of ongoing and planned mega projects, including economic cities, airport expansion, healthcare facilities, and railway network expansion will continue to attract many multinational corporations to establish their presence in Saudi Arabia, they added.-TradeArabia News Service
